Portfolio

Money

I cover complex personal finance issues from pensions and additional voluntary contributions to property, credit card fraud and debt, digital wallets, passing on intergenerational wealth, consumer rights and the FIRE (financial independence/ retire early) movement.

Expat

From citizenship-by-investment passport schemes to dodgy fixed-term offshore accounts and the nitty-gritty of moving to Dubai or Bulgaria, I have lived in the UAE, Bahrain and France and am well-placed to write about expatriate issues.

Lifestyle

From your digital legacy after death to parenting a preemie, juvenile diabetes, yoga and street art, I can and do write with authority and expertise on exceedingly varied topics.

Business

I have a particular interest in entrepreneurship, startups and women in work, as well as writing about subjects such as companies that have pivoted or split in two, billion-dollar empires and founders, executive travel and wellbeing at work.

Interviews

I have interviewed some fascinating people, from the authors of The 100-Year-Life to Barack Obama’s sister, Auma, and Annabel Karmel – but I most love getting everyday people chatting about the intricate details of their finances or lifestyle.

Reviews

I love to write a good (or lukewarm) review, and have reviewed hotels, management and leadership books and even podcasts (which I personally devour).
